So, despite my v+ box acting up, and major reservations, I watched the new episode last night.

Anyone else?

I was expecting big change, but sadly the only thing of interest for me was the addition of Alexander Siddig (DS9's Dr Bashir) to the mix.
He's shown he's a really top notch actor, which will just make the others look bad.

The effects are still exactly the same & this is a waste - technology has moved on loads in just the year it's been off air, so why no improvement?

Glad they did the recap at the start, as I chucked watching in series 3 after 1 episode!

Steering clear of spoilers about the show just in case others are fans & haven't watched yet, but I really want the show to work. It just needs...something. I can't put my finger on it, but something's missing.

I watched the first series of this and really enjoyed it but just lost interest after that and never got back to it. I think I may have caught one episode of series 2 but thats it. I don't suppose, in terms of the effects and stuff, that the budget was really there. ITV wanted to do away with it anyways and it only got saved because of the partnership with that other channel so I can't imagine it got much money poured into it. Shame though because it really could be an excellent show

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

I didnt realise it had started already. I really enjoyed the earlier series, though series 3 kind of lost its way. I will no doubt get stuck back into it though

I had a watch last night. I can't say I was all that impressed to be honest. It was good, but nothing new. It may as well have been an episode from series 1

Totally agree. I did really laugh at the S Club 7 gag though!

I thought it was really funny.
