Hello members, lurkers and guests Smiley

As a moderating team we are always looking at new ways to keep this forum growing as well as keeping it as user friendly to you all at the same time. It is important to us to make sure this forum is constantly getting bigger and better because we want you to keep coming back and enjoying your time here. Because of this, over the next few weeks there are going to be some significant changes to the forum to make sure that you have the best experiences upon your visits. Some of these changes will be very noticeable to you whilst others are happening behind the scenes which although may not be so obvious, will hopefully make things run more smoothly around here.

The first of these changes will be happening tonight when we get rid of the very dated looking banner at the top of the page and replace it will something more fresh, colourful and current. Even the other moderators havent seen it yet so it will be worth looking out for. Over time the rest of the forum will fall into line, with a more upgraded colour scheme and layout.

Secondly, the way we moderate the site will be changing considerably over the next week or so. You may have noticed some requests dotted around the site asking for your input on certain topics, and I myself have messaged a number of members asking for their thoughts and opinions on the forum also. These requests will be popping up a lot over the next week while the moderating team ask for feedback on certain areas of the site, or just the site in general. We wouldnt have a forum without all of you who keep coming back to us every day and it is important to us that you let us know what you like and dislike and what you would like to see put into place around this forum, so keep an eye out for these threads and make sure you give your input and have your say.

Because the forum is growing and getting busier, we have this week appointed two new moderators to join the team. This will make sure that any problems or difficulties that a member faces will be dealt with more swiftly as well as easing the load of the current team. The two newest additions to the team, bringing heaps of experience with them, are Sandiwich11 and Iceman, who will be taking up their positions from later this evening. Make sure you make them feel welcome.

Because of the growth of the forum, the moderating team are now in charge of looking after individual sections within the forum. They will still have authority throughout the whole of the site, but with this in practice any problems within a particular area can now be directed to a specific moderator or team of moderators. They will also be working on their individual sections to clean them up and make them more user friendly and easy to navigate. The sections and their respective moderators are detailed below.

The TARDIS Help Centre - PopRockGeek
Inside The TARDIS - TheFifthDoctor & BlueRose
The Spoiler Section - VampyrosAdric & PopRockGeek
The Silence - MandyDuchovney & Peri-Peri
The Classic Series - TheFifthDoctor
The Hub - Iceman & Digallifreya
Inside The Attic - Sandiwich11 & Iceman
76 Totters Lane - VampyrosAdric & Peri-Peri
Character Appreciation - Sleekituk & BlueRose
The Long Game - BlueRose
The Water Cooler - Sandiwich11 & MandyDuchovney

They will all be making changes to their respective sections and are happy to help out with anything you may need or trouble you may have within their section. Though obviously dont be afraid to ask them for help with any other issues too. Moderations, to make it more clear to members, will now be posted in navy throughout the forum. This will make it easier for members to know when a moderator is making changes, enforcing a rule or making any other general moderation action. These moderation changes will be taking place over the next week or so, so please bear with us. We hope to have it fully in place by November 21st.

As of December 16th the forum will once again close down to members only, so guests will have to sign up in order to view or contribute to the forum. For the time being this will be something put into place for the Christmas period but will be reviewed in the new year.

In other news, the 47th anniversary since the start of Doctor Who is coming up on Tuesday 23rd November and we will have lots of exciting things going on around the forum to keep you entertained and to give you a look at the history of the show and its humble beginnings. Also, with Christmas coming up we will be going festive in all kinds of ways so make sure you keep checking back for lots of festive fun.

For now that will do, but expect lots more in the coming weeks. If you have any comments or questions feel free to post below
