I'm not a great fan of comedy writers turning their hand to sci-fi (Simon Nye and Richard Curtis spring to mind) but I can't help thinking Ben Elton would do a real job for Nu-Who

I generally agree with much of what you say, but I have to leave you alone on this one. I'm not a big fan of most of his stuff and I find him as a person very unlikeable

I will say, he is bottom of a very long list of 'famous' writers I would love to see (more for interest value than any great admiration of him) and if he doesn't do it then I won't lose any sleep. I still think my favourite would be P.J.Hammond followed by J.K Rowling
