Dreamland sees the iconic TARDIS touch down in the desert in the USA. Stumbling across a mysterious alien artefact in a local diner, the Doctor is led to Area 51, also known as Dreamland, the US' most secret base. He then finds himself on a momentous mission to rescue Rivesh Mantilax from the threat of the ruthless Viperox and the clutches of the American military.

I am mentioning this for 2 reasons today. Firstly because it only just struck me how similar it sounds to the upcoming series 6 story, and secondly because in the New Year sale on Play.com it has been reduced from £12.99 to £3.99

It stars David Tennant as the Doctor and Georgia Moffatt as his companion Cassie.

Really is a bargain. This and the other one I just posted, were both in HMV earlier this week for £9.99 still, and that was on offer.

£3.99 is less than two decent Costa Coffees Smiley For a story like this, I'm there!

There are just a couple of them but they are voiced by all of the main characters and make a nice little distraction Smiley definitely worth a watch for the price of a Boots Value Meal (with some trimmings lol)

I really liked this one and the earlier cartoon with Martha, "The Infinite Quest." Adventure, aliens and lots of different settings, worth watching as a supplement to the live action seasons!

It's $19.99 here, but The Infinite Quest is only $7.99.

I got this today. Its only like an hour long and it's fun enough I guess. The animation is really good so I can understand why some people would want it to be used for the missing episodes of the show.

They've already done that with the two missing episodes of The Invasion, and they came out excellently, I thought.  Obviously not a patch on what the real thing would have been like, but a great second best.

I really liked the idea of using the animation to cover for the missing episodes. I thought the Invasion worked really well (I agree with you Nyki - no substitute but a bloody good second prize)

For those of you of a slightly older vintage, the animators were the same company who did the Danger Mouse cartoons (Cosgrove Hall)
