I BLOODY KNEW IT!!!

I am never doubting myself again! My boyfriend just likes to throw me off the scent I think. He did the same thing when I guessed who the fifth Cylon was in BSG! Tongue

I loved series 3, but the finale was a bit crap I thought. I enjoyed it, but there wasnt much going on and it was a lot calmer and quieter than the others. I don't like what they have done to Sam either. He was fine one minute and then all of a sudden he was pissed off and being an arse. I wouldnt have minded if it was gradual but it was like he had a memory about his past and then all of a sudden he totally changed.

Tara better be coming back. Love her!

Hehehe, hope you gave him a slap!

Agree on Sam - to be honest I thought his subplot was really crap this year, it felt shoehorned in.

Hope they do more with the voodoo & LaFayette though, it was pretty creepy!

I agree - I don't really like the Sam story line at all.  There is such potential with his character and I hope that they fix his story arc next season.

I'm not too sure on how he is in the books, but I'd certainly say that if they can stop Sam from being constant mood swing guy, he could be a force to be reckoned with as a badass.

Can't wait for the summer - True Blood & Torchwood, as well as the final season of Entourage, where hopefully Turtle gets found out for the fat freeloader he really is!!  Grin

I have no idea what happened to Sam at the end of the last series, but he REALLY pissed me off. His character change came out of nowhere. It was so silly

Sam really doesn't feature much through the books.  One of the things I love about the show is that they really fleshed out his character.  But after last season, I fear for what the writers are doing to him.  Guess we just have to wait and see!

Right, well I am fully caught up with this now and I have to agree about Sam. Its a shame because I was quite liking his character and from what I have read today he is pretty much going to be like that throughout series 4.

I have some spoilers that I went digging for today if anyone is interested.
- Nan Flannigan, the vampire who does all the news reports will become a series regular
 - Fiona Shaw (Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter films) has a regular role
 - Sookie and Eric will get together
 - Series 4 will be all about a witches coven
 - Episode one will be called 'She's Not Here'
Some of this might be well known, especially if you have read the books, but I only found them out today and thought I would share Smiley

I suppose it means that the episode will be quite Sookie centric. I suppose it has to be though after the end of series 3

I only knew about Sookie & Eric.
Nan Flanigan is in it more?
Seriously?
I am right, she's the annoying harpy who had all the tv arguments with the fellowship, yeah?

Yea. Nan Flannigan is the one who is always doing the news broadcasts about vampires rights

I quite like Nan. I think Fiona Shaw is playing the head of the coven or something

Urgh.
She does my head in bigstyle.
Hope someone kicks her fanged ass.

I actually introduced a workmate to True Blood (same workmate from the Firefly discussion lol) - we were pissing ourselves talking about the bit at the very start where he's sitting with her in the bar and says something like "All eyes in this bar are on you. Because I......(Horatio Caine style pause) am Vampire....."

And also the bit where Sookie asks him to glamour her & he does the big dramatic Blue Steel look and says, in his hilarious southern drawl "Sook-aye"

I just got the first book on sale for £2.99. I had a quick look through the first chapter and its pretty much identical to the book so far. The story is good which makes up for the fact that Charlaine Harris is an otherwise bland sort of writer.

River, loved that vid, had a right old chuckle here!!

Double P, worth getting do you think?
Surely she can't be any worse than Stephanie Myer?

(off topic, but whenever I see anything Twilight related, I give a 10 style cry of "Shiiiimaaaah!!")

Far better than Meyer and worth a read. She tells a brilliant story but her writing is very basic. It makes for an easy read though.

Yes - the books are a very easy read and therefore you can get through them quickly.  Season 1 of the show was the closest to the book.  If you keep going in the books, you will see how the show starts veering off.  By the time you get out to book 8, 9, and 10, though, things start to get a bit silly.  But I am invested now so I will still read the next one that comes out in the spring!
