I can't actually remember, but is it just that he always comes back to life, or is it that he's proper immortal, as in doesn't age either? If he's not supposed to age, that'll be an issue in a season or 2 I'd imagine.

I'm pretty excited for the new series, my only down point is I think Rex is a duff name for a character  Wink

If the whole Face of Boe thing holds, then I imagine some form or aging or something happens in order for the transition from Jack to Face or Boe to occur.

And I agree - Rex is a dog's name.  Unless you a a person who is named Rex in which case it is lovely and it suits you Tongue

@thefifthdoctor Cheers, Professor, it's alright.  Smiley

Looks like Jack still ages a bit at a time, just delayed over many years. Maybe it could be some kind of reversal if everyone else can't die, then Jack can die.

Possible scenario:

if (everyone else is mortal) {
    Jack is immortal
} else {
    Jack is mortal
}

or something like that. x

Not sure if I should be thrilled or horrified that I totally understand that Wink

Jack's lived over a hundred years without having aged noticeably, so it must be very slow, but I'd agree the Face of Boe suggests he does age very gradually and will ultimately die.

I've been reading a few things today which seem to suggest that Peri might be right and Jack becomes mortal when everyone else becomes immortal.

Question now is, do we actually think he might die?

Not a chance! They wouldn't kill him off.
