Just thought i would give you a quick heads-up on the latest audio adventures that have caught my attention. The box-set Counter Measures is a series of four stories based around a special government unit set up in the wake of the events of Remembrance of the Daleks. It uses the same cast that appeared in Remembrance, with Simon Williams as Group Captain Gilmore and Pamela Salem as Rachel Jensen. Hugh Ross plays the mysterious Toby Kinsellas, the Whitehall manderin in charge of the new outfit.

The stories are good, interesting tales, the whole thing has the feel of an ITC adventure from the late 1960s (think Doctor Who meets the New Avengers). The cast are wonderful and pick straight up from where they left off. Some of the production is a little obscure and you find that you really have to concentrate on what is happening (it is not a series to have on in the background). But if you are fancying something a little different, with good acting and interesting stories, then this is well worth a go!

I've sometimes wondered whether those events (along with those of The War Machines and The Faceless Ones) played a part in the decision to set up UNIT.

I've heard good things, but these are some of the few I haven't gotten into yet. I know doubt will, I've got hundreds of audios, but these just haven't jumped out at me.
